CARPOOLING

School bus timetables are available on the Grand Reims website:

For example :

Carpooling twice a week = Around €1,500 saved per year (for a 30km trip)

The city of Epernay, the Pays d'Epernay Terres de Champagne and the Regional Natural Park of the Montagne de Reims (PNRMR) were the winners, through a joint application, to the call for projects of the Ministry of the Environment: Territory Energy Positive for Green Growth (TEPCV)*.

The PNR is the bearer of action n°35 aiming to supply and install signage for 40 carpooling areas on the territory*. This action was thus financed up to 80% by the State via TEPCV and 20% by the PNRMR. The agglomeration of Epernay, the CCPC and the CCGVM contributed financially to the launch of this operation.

*Territories: PNR, Grand Reims, CCGVM, CCPC, PETR of Epernay and Agglo of Epernay.

**As a reminder, a positive energy territory for green growth (TEPCV) is a territory of excellence in energy and ecological transition.

Distribution of the 40 carpooling areas:

They are installed near major roads (crossroads of national roads or departmental roads with heavy traffic) and in secure and identified areas (parking lots in village halls, town halls, etc.).

Also, in order to limit the ecological impact of the works and their costs, the reuse of car parks on existing roadways has been favoured. In each municipality, appropriate signage has also been put in place.

Find them:

You can find these 40 areas on carpooling platforms (Blablacar, Mobicoop, à la carte route, FLUO Grand Est, etc.) or on the map above.

It is not always easy to leave your car in the garage to make trips, whether daily or occasional, especially in our territory. However, alternatives exist, in order to reduce the environmental impact of our journeys and this is what sustainable mobility is all about!

Today, it's up to us to rethink our travels!

To share your journeys and travel expenses. Choose to carpool or be carpooled during your occasional or regular trips (home-work journey).
